Perfect hotel from architecture to interior design. Everything is well made, decent and very eco-friendly. We booked the wonderful dinner there which are prepared using local ingredients. It’s an amazing experience and I will definitely bring my family there again.

A beautiful and cozy hotel you can relax in. The room in the main building was large, quiet, and had a lovely view. The tearoom / bar area is a perfect spot to relax. The restaurants on premises are lovely. You will need a reservation for meals, I had no issues booking these on the day. The gift shop has great souvenirs.

The attention to detail of the staff was exceptional. Staying in such a lovely traditional apartment with modern amenities was a very enjoyable experience. The breakfast, traditional Japanese in style, was tasty. The location was good, only a ten minute walk to stations and most main attractions. Would highly recommend it if you want to stay somewhere special.

    The crowds were disrespectful inside the Temple, speaking...

    The crowds were disrespectful inside the Temple, speaking loudly and taking pictures. There were a few people attempting to pray and it must have been difficult for them in the very noisy environment. Other temples had silence and no photography inside and were much more enjoyable and peaceful.

    The location is top tier, it’s a 15 minute walk from Nara JR station, 10 minutes to Nara park and about 20 minutes to the Todai-ji temple. It’s got it’s kitchen which you can always use. It has self check-in and check-out. You can store your luggage here before and after check in/out, but everyone can reach your stuff as it’s not closed off and no one is there to monitor it. Close by are multiple big shopping streets, also a lot of possibilities for food.

    The host was super nice. We arrived earlier prior to 3 pm and able to check in especially under the mid day heat! We got off at Nara station and took bus 14 to the house, it was about 10 minute walk from the bus station crossing the overpath. The house was nice, authentic Japanese house with Tatami floor beds and air conditioner. The kitchen and amenities were nice and useful. Nara park and Todai-ji temple were beautiful and tranquil. We used one of the hand towel as wet towel and "neck cooler" to cope with the summer heat.
