Hotels near Tofuku-ji Temple, Kyoto

One of the best places I've stayed in Japan so far. This was our 3rd time in Kyoto and if we go back again I would definitely look to stay here. The location is impeccable, literally 3 min from Kyoto station. Actually it's on the quieter side of it as well. When you pass across the station to the other side it has shopping spots, bars, restaurants and very lively even late in the evening whereas the side the hotel is at, is relatively quiet with a shopping mall nearby. I find this ideal for an accommodation so the street doesn't get too noisy. In addition to that there were 2 convenience stores very close by and although we hadn't booked breakfast included, when we were there, we ended up reserving it for 2 mornings separately and loved the variety of options and the fact that they also give a breakfast bento consisting of different traditional Japanese dishes. It's a good experience if you're open to trying new things. Apart from that the public bath was super clean and cosy, with an ice-cream vending machine on that same floor - very well thought of. We all enjoyed our stay in Rihga Gran very much and hoping to come back again in the future!

The location was walking distance from Kyoto station, which was very handy as we were traveling with a toddler and stroller. We came in from Mimaru Tokyo, who arranged delivery of our baggage to Mimaru Kyoto, which was very efficient and economical. I recommend this place for people traveling with children.

The hotel is very clean and friendly staff

This hotel takes care of every detail. Breakfast is super tasty, lot's of options and good coffee. Rooms are big and nicely decorated. The staff has good English and an amazing service attitude - Simply beyond expectations. Location was great- just near the Kyoto station but without hearing any noise. We hope to return

I like the location next to Kyoto station. I liked how big and cleaned the hotel was, and the staff were very friendly. however, the in room dining menu was lacking

Excellent location,! The hotel is easy to find, just a few minutes walking from the train station nearby. The room is clean and spacious. But what I like most was the staff in the hotel. They were friendly and helpful. They speak English well and helped changed my room from a double bed to a twin-bed room when I arrived. They also gave me some good recommendations on restaurants for breakfast and dinner nearby. I have a pleasant stay in this hotel. I will come again when I visit Kyoto in future!
