Kumara and his wife took really good care of us. Their place really is hidden in a lovely garden, with a nice pattio and hammocks under palm trees. The most special thing about this place is the food: it is organic and local (from the garden or the neighbours). Everyday you can try something else. The hosts offer cooking classes in a traditional mud hut. Additionaly Kumara showed us a lot of places: Rigitale Mountain, Sigiriya, Dambulla, but also some batik, jewelry and spice shops.

Located within a minute walk from Palugaswewa railway station and 4.3 km from Habarana Lake, Bissa Villa offers a private lodge with air conditioning and mosquito net.

We were upgraded to a double room for the same price as our original room had a gecko in the AC! But we appreciated the care and concern. We had a great time and even managed to have a swim in their lovely pool before the amazing brekkie served to us! Will def come back here.

How peaceful and quiet the place was, surrounded by nature. Everyone who was working was really friendly and even with the location being a bit out the way was no trouble getting any help in ordering transportation. Breakfast was good and rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
