Best choice for long stay. Good location and professional staff

Hotel Manager Ranjith went above and beyond in helping me during my trip. I had an issue where I thought I lost my scooter in the middle of the night. Ranjith and his team came to my rescue, they were very kind and comforting the whole time. The service was outstanding and is the biggest reason for the 10 rating. Hotel is rather secluded. Take in one of the best views of Galle Fort and the Bay. Enjoy the sunset from the rooftop bar, deck chairs, and infinity pool. Room was excellent: clean, spacious, and modern. Hey, what do you scent all the towels with? They smell amazing.

I had a fantastic 7-day stay at Villa Rumassala—and I loved it so much that I extended my visit by another 10 days. I was based there while completing a medical elective at a nearby hospital, and the villa offered the perfect balance of comfort and tranquillity. Tucked away from the main road, it felt like a peaceful retreat, complete with a serene pool and fresh towels provided daily. The Villas are located about 15 min walk from the main Unawatuna beach and shopping/food area or a short tuktuk ride to Jungle beach (unless you're ok with walking up some steep hills!). The rooms were spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and featured modern, spotless bathrooms. I particularly appreciated the communal kitchen area, which included a kettle and a washing machine—small touches that made a big difference during a longer stay. There was 24/7 security, making me feel safe throughout my stay. There was also a small gym that was open 24/7, however it did not have aircon which might put people off using in the Sri Lankan heat! What truly made my time unforgettable was the staff. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, always making sure I had everything I needed. I was even invited to join in the Sinhala New Year celebrations—a beautiful and memorable experience. A special thank you to Sasini, whose kindness and attention to detail ensured I was comfortable throughout my stay.

We like the location also good and enjoyable breakfast.

We had a very nice stay. The propery is unique and picturesque. The host was very helpful and arranged a perfect vegetarian breakfast for us. Must book when in unawatuna.
