The views from Hotel Sokoline are just magical! We had a wonderful stay here. Food is fantastic. We stayed here and got up really early to visit the Ostrong monastery before the crowds arrived. Best decision. There was a mass going on outside. So we listed for a bit then went inside. No one there. We then came back to the hotel for breakfast which starts at 0830. Only 10min back down the hill. Great place for a night or two.

The accommodation is outstanding, set in a stunning natural environment with very kind hosts. They also own the restaurant Markovi Konaci, located just across from the accommodation. The food there is superb and definitely worth trying. I highly recommend the local cheese platter, which comes with sour cream, prosciutto, and olives. For the main course, don’t miss the homemade sausages and roast lamb or beef—these are truly must-try dishes. The beef stew is also a great choice to start your day. If you’re visiting the Ostrog Monastery, a stop at Markovi Konaci is a must. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and indulge in the delicious food.

I arrived at Ostrog Retreat after being in the hustle of Kotor Bay and it was a welcome quiet clean space to rest. It's also a wonderful location to visit the monastery from. The view through the large sliding windows and deck is beautiful. The hosts are very kind and generous. They met me as I arrived to show me the room and sent me off as I left. Also the communication on WhatsApp was super thorough and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and explore the area further. Oh and the bed is a sofa bed but very comfortable.

What a beautiful house and area! The owners were so kind when I arrived later than expected, including leaving some delicious homemade dessert and grapes from the property in the frig for me. There was also alcohol, but I do not drink alcohol. Very kind and considerate. The breakfast was also amazing! I would love to come back and stay longer.
