Wonderful location right on the water, the entire property was spotless and in superb condition. The atmosphere was modern and decor tasteful. Dinner was outstanding and Breakfast buffet exceptional as well. Quiet and lovely place we enjoyed very much.

The breakfast was one of the best we had in Norway with very personal service. The table was ready for us with a variety of choices (not a buffet). The atmosphere of the entire property was quiet and relaxing; it felt very homey and welcoming. Finally, the staff was incredible and went out of their way to make sure there were options for my husband with some dietary restrictions. The dinner was excellent and we loved sitting and visiting with people from other parts of the world!

The beautiful guest house and the great service was a highlight during our trip. Breakfast was excellent with delicious homemade waffles! The 3 course dinner we had came close to fine cuisine. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem of a hotel, tucked away in a peaceful location. The staff are absolutely outstanding and the dinner was brilliant. Breakfast was a well stocked continental buffet with hot fresh eggs and bacon available. The bedroom was immaculate and well presented with a comfortable bed and bedding. Highly recommended!

    Location of the Hotel is exceptional. I was actually looking for a hotel at Geirengar but none was available so had to settle for this one (on 1.25 hour drive+ferry). But I actually was later thankful for it, as this place+hotel potentially was the best possible option for a calm peaceful stay, with access to beautiful surroundings and daily drives. I covered Geirengar, The Atlantic Road, and Trollstigen on daily trips with using this hotel as my center station for a relaxing on a comfy evening. Breakfast and staff was very good and humble.

    Super accommodating and patient given that it was my first time travelling with my baby! A cot and high chair were available. Good shower and summer curtains. Delicious evening meals. Incredible location - both within Valldal itself and for exploring Trollstigen, Ålesund, Hellesylt and Gerainger. I love that it's possible to access the bar and restaurant directly from some of the room terraces.

    We loved the location right by the waterfront and on a clear morning the views were beautiful. Room was very comfortable and breakfast buffet had a good choice of options. Great to have free tea and coffee all day - we do like our tea! We took a drive up to Trollstigen, which was a real highlight until the weather closed in.

    Nice room with your own terrace and a fjord view - it doesn't get much better than this! Friendly staff and a great breakfast complete the experience. The hotel itself is slightly upmarket. The location is ideal halfway between Trollstigen and Geiranger.

    A clean and beautifully furnished cabin that felt like home, with a living room, kitchen and washing machine included. Delicious breakfast provided in the fridge. Lovely staff that accommodated my late check-in timing around 9pm. Location was also great, along the road to Trollstigen. Overall an excellent stay.

    Very good location to visit Geiranger either / or the Trollstigen viewpoint (absolutely recommended but road to Adalsnes is closed!). Comfy room and bed, nice terrace with Fjord view and good breakfast. We also loved the local food approach of the restaurant, very tasteful!

    Just a beautiful house. We were placed in the house behind the restaurant. It is like living in your own home. The restaurant manager , a Brazilian lady, was just chirpy and accommodating. The place is about 6kms from Valdall town enroute to trollstigen. Should try the sponge cake with strawberry sauce….not sweet!!!!

    The staff was great - we had some electricity issues upon arrival. Prompt to solve it and just very nice interaction. It was a small cabin very close to Trollstigen, but a big terrace and a nice outside kitchen. It was good value for money.
