Great, the colour of the water is amazing, then down to see the Aritiatia dam opening, then the Hukafalls Falls River Cruise, which take you right up to the falls your saw slowly so you can get photos, as they enter the river in a relaxed ride, And then down to "Rapid Jets" which are only 5-10 minutes away and then you have fun.Guest review byDavidAustralia - 10.0

You can park at a viewing point 500mtrs up the hill from the main car park which has a 30 minutes max stay. The viewing point has no time limit and there is a cool path down to falls. 15 to 20 mins walk. On the outskirts of Taupo, this is a very impressive view - lots of water power here. There are great walks around here, from 15 minutes to several hours.
