Hotels near Pico Ruivo peak, Boaventura

Gorgeous hotel with a beautiful garden situated on top of the cliff with a beautiful sea view. Very nice rooms with terrace attached. Good restaurant and pizzeria belonging to the hotel. Great massage.

The views are stunning, really spectacular views of the mountains and the small village in the valley below. The pool isn't deep enough for lengths or anything but it's nice to cool off after the hot tub with the views. All the staff were lovely and accommodating. The rooms were huge. The restaurant was nice with good food and the wait staff were very kind and welcoming.

Quiet place, good to rest outside of the noise. Thay have restaurant as well as spa inside and breakfast included in the price. Nice rooms. Overall great value considering the services. Beyond my expectations.

Great place and location on Madeira, just 15 minutes by car or taxi from the city center of Funchal. You can also get there by bus or cable car, which is also just around the corner. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially valuing the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, quietness, and amazing views. You are looking on Funchal, mountains and the ocean just sitting on your balcony.  All the staff members, in particular the receptionists, did their best to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. If you are looking for something special and don’t want to be treated like just a number, or if you are not a big fan of the all-inclusive concept like we aren’t, then this could be something for you. It feels a bit like being part of a historical novel. The hotel is located in a former estate, and a lot of its classic, glorious interior was kept in the general areas: In the hotel lobby, bar, and restaurant, they had original paintings, furniture, and other decor details. The beautiful garden, swimming pool, decent breakfast, and spacious room with a big balcony made everything just perfect for us. It was practical that there was a small fridge in the room, and there are a couple of good restaurants/cafes very close to the hotel. Last but not least: Don’t miss all the sights in this area (the tropical and botanical gardens, 2 cable cars, and carreiros).

Outstanding breakfeast och pool area. The dinner restaurant was also excelent. Ther was a cosy fire place in the evening and they made their own cider:) This is a place to relax after a long day in the mountains or out on sightseeing.
