This is a lovely hotel in a charming and well kept building. The staff at reception were particularly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and attractive and very comfortable and the location in town was just great -- in the charming old section very near to the cathedral and other attractions. All at an excellent price!

    The breakfast buffet was excellent with many many healthy choice. I loved the ginger shots and mini kiwi and mango smoothies. The staff were super helpful and courteous. The bed was very comfortable; better than my home bed. I could easily walk to the Uppsala University where the conference was held. Greater restaurants and many stores nearby. Train station is in walking distance.

    The hotel is located in a quiet area close to the University and close to the city center. So, practical for low-budget visits of Uppsala University. Other then that, it's a classical Swedish experience, where human contact is not considered important. Staff is completely absent from the hotel, but if needed, they are available by telephone. It's perhaps fine for somebody who is used to it, but can be a bit awkward for guests from different cultures.

    very nice hotel, perfect location for visiting the main site of Uppsala university. Clean and comfortable room, although not exceptional. Very tasty breakfast.
