Great apartment! We were in Apartment 2.1. Excellent renovation! Very friendly staff, the room has everything: tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, slippers. Unless I did not find an iron. The booking price includes a free taxi transfer that will take you to the hotel door. The taxi driver was waiting for us with a nameplate. We found him very quickly. Payment was made upon arrival at the reception. We bought breakfast (11 euros per person), from the building of our hotel to the building with breakfast you need to walk 30 meters. The breakfasts are ok, there is everything you need: eggs, beans, sausages, vegetables, cheese.. But it works up to 10:00. For a change, we went to a cafe with breakfast and brunch on the same street, called Panenska kaviaren, we also liked it there, but it turned out to be more expensive. The location is excellent, walking to the center 10-15 minutes along the beautiful streets. Very close to the hotel is the Zochova bus stop, from which you can easily get by bus 93 to the train station (and from there by bus 61 to the airport). Our departure was late in the evening, so we left our things in the small lobby of the hotel, and then had tea there before leaving. Thanks for your hospitality!

Location couldn’t be better just a few mins walk to Old Town Centre and 1 minute from tram. Very modern hotel with large rooms comfortable bed very quiet and a great buffet breakfast in the mornings. Staff were very polite and friendly. It was just across the road from the main Police station too ! I will definitely stay at Hotel Avance upon my return to Bratislava. It was also excellent value for money.

    The castle grounds (with good views out over the city and beyond) are free whereas the castle itself - the Slovak museum - has a charge, but which is well worth it. Be warned, that's vast! But there's a nice little (reasonably priced) cafe up near the top, for a coffee and cake break. Wonderful objects to see, so leave enough time to get round it - probably at least half a day.

    A very fine castle, more like a palace. commands a great view of the city. Getting up to the castle on foot requires a bit of effort but is well worth it. I'm sure there are easier ways to get to it.

    Was very pleasantly surprise, been to Bratislava 3/4 times...

    Was very pleasantly surprise, been to Bratislava 3/4 times and never managed to go inside the castle as it was always closed during the time we were there, not this time ! And actually really enjoyed it, spent about 2 hrs inside checking everything out.

    The hotel is very well located, just about a 30-minute walk from Bratislava Castle. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is truly excellent, with plenty of variety and good quality. The gym is not very large, but it is well equipped and serves its purpose perfectly.

    This place with apartments in the literally in the heart of the Bratislava is amazing spot for those who want to see a centre of the capital town of the Slovakia. It is literally walking distance to Bratislava Castle(beer garden there open until 10pm with amazing views) and Slovak Parliament going through one of the buzzing busy street with restorants and beer gardens full of smiling people. We couldn't pick better location

    We arrived at the hotel before checking time, but were allowed to park our motorbike and change to lighter clothes. Very nice receptionist gave us a locker for our stuff, so we could go site-seeing before check-in. Hotel is arround 800m walking distance from Bratislava castle, 1.200m from UFO and 900m from historic city center. We had breakfast at Garni Hotel Virgo. It is very nice little hotel with cosy breakfast room. We will come back!

    The apartment was very clean and tidy with a large bathroom. The front bedroom was large with the back bedroom smaller but both with comfy beds. was close to tram and bus routes and positioned just under Bratislava castle near the old town.

  • There are two main castles: Bratislava Castle which was...

    There are two main castles: Bratislava Castle which was under renovation during my visit, but it is over a hill allowing you to have a perfect view of the city and the Danube. The other is Devin Castle 10 Km North Bratislava and is accessible via bus or boat but I advise a boat to enjoy the beauty of the Danube.
