Location and all staff excellent. A special mention to Tahin ( I think that was his name) who came to meet us and then take us to our taxi when we left. He was so pleasant and helpful. Also thankyou to to Sahin on reception who was also very helpful. The breakfasts were excellent.

Our room was super quiet, because it fronted to inner courtyard, and that was what we wanted - no street noise at all. Breakfast view is just super. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Galata Tower - you can see them all.

We liked everything about this place. Great service, breakfast, location, staff, hotel manager. Beautiful view at the roof terrace (suggested for Instagram influencers). All landmarks and historical places in the old town are walking distance. Hotel manager Mr. Mehmet was very attentive and asked for constant feedback everyday to check if anything can be improved with our stay, made suggestions for our visit in the old town. He really took care of our group and their needs closely.

Hagia Sophia

In 537 AD, Hagia Sophia began life as a church, before becoming an Ottoman mosque in 1453. The largest cathedral in the world for almost a thousand years, this majestic building is considered one of the finest surviving examples of Byzantine architecture. Today, you can explore its vast structure from the inside with a visit to the museum that’s now housed within the walls.

This was the most incredible part of Istanbul.

This was the most incredible part of Istanbul. Again ensure proper attire or you have to pay for covering. The interplay of Christianity and the Muslim faith, and neither chose to desicrate the other. Just be aware that you will only be able to visit the upper section unless you're a practising muslim.

Its a pity that such an UNESCO monument was turned into a Muslim Cami. And it is discrimination that all non Muslims cannot visit the whole area. As a Greek and orthodox I felt very sorry of the destructions of all the inside ( almost). This should be a museum open for all ,independent on their beliefs. Civilization is not looking into beliefs. Should be respected within centuries.

    Oh, what a delight.

Oh, what a delight. I’m an open minded Christian so I appreciate such a wonderful and special place is still in place. You have to admitted if it wasn’t the Muslims it (probably) shared the fate of Acropolis. Is a wonder it does not crumble during times. Really. I was not able to take two straight pictures in a row, such a marvel of architecture is it, patch after patch. Is not the Pantheon, is not Basilica di San Pietro, but is still there. I also have to appreciate they respect the history and prior faith and do not cover part of the old (Christinas) paintings.

The history is stunning and the main room is beautiful as well as the mosaics. However, I was underwhelmed considering they now charge to go in and you cannot go on the main floor (a result of it being turned into a mosque). Also the carpet choice doesn't help with the overall site. I think the other mosques were better. Also, there are LONG queues to buy a ticket and then queues to go in. I would recommend going to the Hagia Sophia experience museum (across the Obelisk) and buy tickets there.

Insanely long lines deterred us, although you can take great shot elsewhere. Whether you are a man or woman, you need to cover up. Ladies with shawl, long sleeves, and down to ankles. Men with pants and at least a t-shirt (no tank tops). Otherwise, no entry.

Wonderful hotel in a perfect location within a short walking distance from the Sultanahmet Square, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia etc. Plenty of restaurants within short walking distance. The breakfast and food at the hotel was great. The staff was very lovely towards us and our small kids. Special thanks to Mr Veysel, all the reception and restaurant staff for being so kind to us. The room was spacious, clean and very quiet. Highly recommended.

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the traditional Turkish breakfast each morning and the coffee was great. There was also the option to have omelettes on request. We loved the convenient location close to major attractions such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. There were plenty of restaurants and bars close by ,as well as the traditional bazaar.

We were three friends visiting Istanbul and Crowned Exclusive Hotel turned out to be the perfect choice. The location is amazing — right in Fatih, close to Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, and easy access to everything by tram. What made our stay even better was the hospitality: the staff were always kind, helpful, and made us feel at home from the first day. It’s not a luxury place, but it’s clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. For us, the combination of the emplacement and the warm welcome made it a solid 10/10.

Excellent value for money, awesome location - few minutes walk away to popular attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace etc), near to the tram line, near to popular restaurants in Sultanahmet area. This is also a very generous hotel in terms of variety of their breakfast. I was surprised of the selection and quality/taste, good job guys. Blue Mosque & Hagia Sofia are both jaw droppingly stunning inside. Avoid the huge tour group queues & go straight to the top of the line, else you'll wait for hours. I was in (in both places), in 10 minutes without being pushy.
