The staff at this hotel was incredibly helpful and attentive. I had made a booking error and Zach went out of his way to correct it on my behalf. Everyone at the front desk was excellent as well.

Loved our afternoon on Pier39. Had a wonderful meal and watched all the activities going on including a busker who was riding a unicycle whilst juggling and was very good. Lots of people there but felt very safe.

S.F. Has become unbearable. It is a cesspool.

S.F. Has become unbearable. It is a cesspool. Literally a cesspool! It is fouled beyond belief. If you have nostalgic feelings of S.F. from your childhood my advice to you is to NEVER return! Unless you savor the aroma of fresh and stake human waste your cherished childhood memories will be forever tarnished should you decide to risk your own life to venture back to that God foresaken place!

Difficult to fault. Location is very good for Pier 39 area. Very clean. Bit of a maze to find your way around the floors but that’s just because it’s quite a large hotel.

The hotel was in a fantastic location. We enjoyed the closeness to Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39 and all touristy things! The staff were very kind and helpful and accommodates us well through our trip! We loved the added extras of the smores and the fire pits! Our room was lovely, very comfy and it was made up very well each day by the maids.

A great hotel with a spacious comfortable room. Lovely decor. The hotel doesn't look amazing from the outside but we were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. There is a hop on hop off stop not far from the hotel and pier 39 is easily walkable as is the Alcatraz ferry

This hotel was great, good value for money, clean and friendly staff - shoutout to Liz for letting us do early check-in! The location was great, very easy walk to Chinatown, Pier 39 and a Starbucks across the street. They also had an amenities cabinet and refill water station which was very handy. We would highly recommend this hotel!

First time at a hostel, we wanted to be in this area had a private room with a balcony it was quite large and clean. Good for walking to all sites, we also took the no 28 bus to Pier 39 and got open top bus close by. Walked few blocks up Franklin Street to Union Street for lots of restaurants. Various teas available in the communal area and coffee, cereal and fruit available in the morning.

There are so many different parts to the city, with quirky places best found on foot - from walking along Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, to huffing and puffing up Hyde St to Lombard St for the view, then down the Crooked St, then round the streets of Chinatown with its unusual foods and cheap gift shops, down to Union Square expensive stores and restaurants - and of the course the famous cable cars, which you can get from Market Street. And why not try breakfast at Lefty O'Doul's in Geary Street, with lots of memorabilia around the walls about this famous baseball player, manager and coach - even if you've not heard of him (we hadn't!).

Get up early (0700). We caught a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and had it to ourselves. Most places not open but had breakfast at Denny's in the Holiday Inn. We hired a bike and cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and got the ferry back.
