It was an amazing stay! Thank you, Casablanca Hotel for our lovely vacation. We arrived early but were checked in straightaway. The staff were very friendly and extremely handsome by the way. I’m not even sure if it is legal! Water and snacks were provided every day for free. Looking forward to coming back!

Times Square

Alive with billboards and brightly-lit screens, Times Square thrums with energy. Yellow taxis fly past and tourists pause awestruck to snap photos on their phones. The bustle of New York summed up in one crossroads, every element competes for your attention. It may be often recreated for film and TV, but nothing beats seeing this iconic location up-close.

    It’s great.

It’s great. Know at any national holiday the terroists could create a riot a riot and go when it’s safe. No national holidays. Remember 9/22 was terroists. Do not dress well and carry nothing expensive on you.

Times Square was everything I hoped for and more.

Times Square was everything I hoped for and more. Even at midnight, it was lit up like daytime. I loved that because it made me feel safe walking around. The massive billboards were mesmerizing, like something out of a movie. Everyone was just being their full, authentic selves, and the energy was so accepting. Even the people who stared were supportive. I randomly photobombed a cute guy and he actually loved it. And yes, I even danced by the red stairs with someone who looked a little down on their luck, and I honestly didn’t care. It was all part of the experience. Times Square has a vibe like no other.

Was excited to see this iconic place and it was as imagined! Loads of billboards always changing and the new year countdown clock. There were also a lot of characters who would photo-bomb your photo and then ask you for money - they really put the pressure on so beware.

    Busy, Beautiful at night time!

Busy, Beautiful at night time! We stayed at the Crown Plaza--right next to the subway! Perfect spot to reach almost anything you want to see in the city in just a few minutes ride. It is mostly shopping--gift shops and retail stores. Broadway is right there as well if you enjoy plays. Eat a good beakfast a Jr. Cheesecake! Theres also a few bars around and good resturants.

    why is this even mentioned?

why is this even mentioned? crowded, often dirty, unsurprising and very touristy. if you like neon well maybe but it’s rather gross. exciting maybe for people who’ve never traveled. if you want to be awestruck, go to the 9/11 memorial.

Choose a substantial section of the city, say Lower Manhattan, plot the sights you wish to see on a map so that you do not have to retrace your steps, take public transit to your starting point and begin your exploration. We started at the 9/11 Memorial and worked our way north, including City Hall, the Merchant's House, Chinatown, the Bowery, Washington Square, the White Horse Tavern, the High Line and the Garment District. Of course, there were all kinds of surprises, which added to the experience. We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm.

The Broadway experience is such a classic part of going to New York. The standard of performance is so high, and the atmosphere as you spill out towards Times Square afterwards is unforgettable.

Times Square is very busy as are most of the main tourist attractions, but the hop on hop off busses are great or if you don't mind walking choose another street other than broadway and it is far easier to walk down

  • Visit the city during the week.

Visit the city during the week. You could visit locations without being mobbed. Times Square on the weekend (first weekend in June) was a zoo - too crowded.
