I don’t have enough words to praise this hotel. First of all the locatiom is perfect, right in the middle of sea point, and right beside a big supermarket. The room was very big, well equipped. Staff very polite. Breakfast at irene resto was the highlight. Went there every day and still didn’t tried everything in the menu. Really like that group cove & collection, they have many restos, all same good quality. Would def stay here again 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

My room was spacious, clean, luxurious and quiet. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety to choose from and the club canapes were spectacular every time. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. The location of the hotel is ideal as it is central and very close to many of tourist activities.

Most amazing hotel in Cape Town! We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Lola. The whole place is just so lovely and beautiful, location is great, the owners and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! Beautiful, modern, spacious rooms, with a lounge and patio with heated jacuzzi. We stayed at the vineyard suites and it was luxury personified. Meals at both Geuwels and Clara’s barn were excellent. What stands out the most for us was the attention to detail, exceptional service and kindness of the those who work at the hotel and restuarant, made hubby’s birthday celebration very special and I am super grateful. Would definitely recommend. Other highlights, walking with the runner ducks, the spa and the lake.

FAQs about hotels in Cape Town

Cool, Colourful Cape

Between mountains and beaches, the 2nd largest city in South Africa mixes history, resilient modernity, and a typical laidback African character. From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.

Known as Kaapstad in Afrikaans, its sunny weather and mild temperatures make it a perfect place to enjoy the large number of beaches that surround it. From Sunset Beach to Hout Bay, and from Simon’s Town to Gordon Bay, this city offers a variety that suits all tastes. Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity in False Bay.

Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settling process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside Cape Town.

Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

CT is a world class city and has so much to offer to the visitor. You need at least 2 weeks to cover the most attractive locations. The city is safe and amenities excellent. The beaches are clean and inviting. The local hot spots are Table Mountain, V and A waterfront with a host of activities and shopping, Robben Island, the Vineyards, Kirstenbosch gardens, The Dutch castle, and Whale watching in Hermanus, The Namaqualand Daisies in full bloom in September is a true great spectacle of nature. So much more.........

Whereas, I am not a frequent traveler to Cape Town, I have visited quite a number of times and I do not get enough of this beautiful city whenever I visit. This visit was not long enough...and I got a bug that did not only change my plans but kept me indoors for some two days, and so I did not do much. But the nature hikes are always refreshing and looking at the city from high up the ranges. Always mesmerizing.

My visit was very short this time, and the weather was not favourable. I have never been to Long Street, but I understand it is one of the best places to be. Other places mentioned below are very nice places to visit, including V&A Waterfront, and Cape Point is the best for me, to drive up. I would recommend people to at least spend a day there, go up, then follow the foot trails. wine tasting is also one of the best experiences in the Mother City. Sunset at Signal Hill is a must-experience. There is so much more that a person can do in Cape Town, depending on one's preference. Different boat cruises are also available

Cape Town is delightful, the first view of Table Mountain as you taxi from the airport into town is breathtaking. So many beautiful wine farms to visit. Different architectural styles reflect the colourful and interesting history. Great restaurants not expensive with great food. Many signs of inequality and poverty, but I didn't experience anything negative or intimidating.

The people are the stars of this beautiful city.

The people are the stars of this beautiful city. They are friendly, helpful and kind and have an amazing sense of humour. The city, while poor is rich in history and facilities and places to see and visit. Table mountain is a jewel as is Boo Kap - wow, what a story this place has to tell and it does through the people who still live and work there. There are people who will tell you Cape Town is unsafe - it is no more unsafe than any other major city. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are a must visit. They are amazing. The food in this city is out of this world and the wine....oh the wine!

it’s a 4 star Cape Town hotel on the main road next to the beach. The bed was big and comfy but the bathroom lacked the advertised bath. They moved us to another room on the ground floor next to the courtyard restaurant, where a loud band was playing it being Sunday afternoon. But they stopped at 6 so no problem. The service and food offerings were good and you can walk, carefully, across the road and watch the waves crash onto the rocks. Probably a good 25 minutes walk to the Waterfront. Take an Uber.

Booked this hotel for the location in the V&A Waterfront and it is an ideal location for first time visitors to Cape Town. You can walk around this are safely and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions. The hotel is modern and the staff helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and we were upgraded to one with a balcony overlooking the waterfront. Breakfast was included and excellent. Plenty of options for vegans.
