Amazing owners, they are a very lovely couple who offer discounted ski lift tickets for the nearby ski resort. They are very willing to help, dropping us off at the Myoko Kogen Train Station, and cooked us a lovely Japanese style breakfast each morning for 1000¥ a day.

The hotel is very closed to the Tangram ski resort. You may walk to the chairlift. Also, they have shuttle services to the lobby as well, which is very convenient for carrying a lot of ski equipment.

Excellent value, especially for a group. Great location slopeside by Sakka Slope but be warned, it's a ways from the main village. Staff super nice, even drove us to the bus to go back to Nagano. Breakfast, while simple, was tasty. Beautiful views from the common room Great massage chair and comfy couches to hang out on

I had a wonderful stay at Yamada-san Ski Lodge! The owner was incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond by offering us a lift to the nearby ski area. The lodge itself was warm, cozy, and exceptionally comfortable, with a spotless level of cleanliness that made it feel just like home. The value for money was excellent, especially for those planning an extended ski trip. Having a nearby convenience store was an added bonus, making it easy to save on meals and essentials. I highly recommend Yamada-san Ski Lodge for anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and welcoming place to stay during their ski adventures. I can’t wait to return!
