Very friendly older couple :) The cabin had everything (running water, toilet, wood stove, kitchen, futon). By car close to the ski areas. I loved the experience with the wood stove during winter

The highlight of my stay here is the magnificent view of Mt. Yotei from my hotel window. It was so beautiful! I stayed on a private room with tatami style bed, very spacious and you get to have your own fridge and private bathroom. It was comfortable and I had a very good sleep :) The room is also equipped with heater to keep warm during winter. The location is 2-4 mins walk to the nearby bus stop, restaurant and 7-eleven. Quiet neighbourhood away from the crowded centre. Grand Hirafu Base is 15 mins travel by bus from the hotel. The bus comes every hour so make sure to check the bus timings and plan ahead of time. Also, Mr. Sato is a friendly host. He speaks good english and he offers free transfer (by request) to Kutchan Station, but you need to arrange it with him. Would recommend and will stay here again when I come back to Niseko!

The staff was super friendly! Even though I did not give an estimated time of arrival as required, I was welcomed very friendly. The room was super tidy and warm, with a nice view into the woods. The parking lots right in front of the housing were super comfortable and anything possibly necessary provided. Just notice that the closest convenience store is 15-20min by car, as the location is really away from busy life. During snow season I recommend a 4x4 if you plan to rent a car and go there.

Anna and Aiden were excellent hosts. The Lodge was clean, warm and comfortable. Cosy beds and fabulous hot showers!. Ample breakfast was provided with a delicious home cooked hot option. We were fortunate to have a car, but I believe the Lodge mini bus and the resort Shuttle services worked well for other guests. Great value for money, lovely place to stay. Would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The villa itself is very comfortable, warm and cosy in a picturesque location which is a very short drive from the rusutsu ski lifts. The main resort hotels were busier and felt a bit odd to me, with a shopping centre vibe, escalators and multi storey buildings… slippery tiled floors etc. This was great for some after skiing enjoyment, the kids played games in the arcade are a lot, but we were always happy to come home to the villa. The breakfast was delicious with tasty hot western and Japanese options, plus a buffet too ( I thought that the buffet on its own was great) I will happily stay at Villa rusutsu when I return here!

Everything was great. The room was spacious, clean, cozy, plus it has a beautiful forest view. Superb hot breakfast. The host Rhys and Zoey was very friendly and helpful to get us to the lodge and restaurant. I personally like the vintage atmosphere this lodge have. Would love to come here again next time!

This is exactly what ski accommodation should be like. Kitchen, fireplace, ski room, drying room, guitar, piano, common room and great hosts. If you don't need a fancy hotel under the ski slope, this is the place. We would love to come again. Thanks!

The staff is charming and made everything as easy as possible. The breakfast is very good. Also, I would like to point out that we had a problem with the bus and the owner came to pick us up and drove for half an hour to help us. In short, exceptional!

Super friendly, kind, chill, helpful staff. The lodge is conducive to people gathering to just hang out and chill, which is great for solo travelers and groups alike. The breakfast is fantastic -- healthy options, and delicious. Has plenty of storage for your gear and drying your clothing. If you want to ski on Moiwa, the slopes are right there. If you want to go to the main ski resorts, there is a shuttle available every hour which can take you over to the Annupuri slope (where there is a Niseko United bus stop to take you to other areas), but there's only enough room for about 6-7 and gear, so you have to get there early or wait an hour for the next ride. Alternatively, you could make the trek to a Niseko United bus stop (if you get the Niseko United all mountain pass, you should be able to ride this bus without paying the fair for the validity of your pass, check with the bus driver in case this changes) or Niseko bus stops if you don't have a car.

Everything was amazing. Right next to the bus stop. Staff were amazing. We forgot our passport and they sent to Tokyo in time for our flight out. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Both lodges are equipped with everything you need during a ski holiday. But the real asset is the exceptional staff and the atmosphere. We were immediately integrated and got great tips about skiing and other things to do. Every morning there is a shuttle to the slopes - that allows you to be there early to catch the powder.

When I was looking, Niseko Ski Lodge Higashiyama was by far the cheapest place within walking distance to the ski lift (Banzai), from which you can get a free ride to the nearest lift ticket window (Hilton). They feed you an all you can eat breakfast that is filling, if not particularly exciting. Everyone is very nice.

Snowgum Lodge was a basic but well set up Ski Lodge with great kitchen facilities. Access to the Recreational Facilities at the Ramat Lodge was a bonus. Breakfast (included) was awesome and times were flexible. Staff went above and beyond I broke my ankle on the first night. They provided extra transportation and ferried us around and nothing seemed too much to ask.
