We had wonderful stay at the place. The surrounding settings of the hotel is hilly and it was blessed with super view. Room is vary spacious and nicely laid to have maximum benifit of the view. Amazing fusion food with varry attentive staff. Every one there to help you with smile. They set out our dinner at outside terrece. Vary Romantic. We will come back again soon once we finish our round trip.

Madusha was such a lovely host, she made us feel at home right away. The cottage is super clean, has all you need even a mini bar and kettle, 5-star matras and pillows and soft bedlinen. The view is stunning and the surrounding is very peaceful. Ideal to unwind and relax. The homemade food is delicious and I highly recommend everyone to have your diner at home, made by Madusha. Lots of vegetables and fresh fruit. Breakfast is also amazing and every day it's different.

Great location as it is only 500m from the train station which is 2 stops from Ella. Beautiful view over the garden and hills beyond. Very quiet. No traffic noise. The room was spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water for the shower. Delicious home cooking. But above all else our host and his family made us feel so welcome. Our host helped us plan a fantastic few days. He is completely fluent in English which made all the arrangements go so smoothly.

We loved out stay at Arawe, it was one of the most pleasant stays in Sri Lanka. The bungalow was beautifully decorated, it’s located near the forest and tea plantations and it’s within walking distance from the city center. The breakfast was excellent. Our daughter loved to play with the friendly dogs and cat, we saw a lot of birds and even fireflies at night.

A wonderful stay here - the good reviews are completely justified. The view is jaw dropping from the comfy balcony. It is well worth it to stay here out of the noise of Ella and be able to look at it from the hills. They also provide a tuk tuk service into town for very reasonable. The family was wonderfully relaxed and friendly while still helping you with anything you need (and they collect you from the train station!). The dinner here was the best we had during our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka - don’t skip it!

Super nice employees, extremely helpful super friendly. check out the tree house room it's a great experience it's really right in the jungle. You can see a lot of animals. Thank you for birthday cake, next time we will stay longer :)

This has been our best stay in Sri Lanka without doubt. Renu is an incredibly inspiring woman, mother and co-owner who will do everything in her power to make your stay intimate, comfortable and convenient. She puts an umbrella in front of your door when it rains; she looks out the window to see how far you are to prepare breakfast; she brings everything to your table and removes it quietly. Not to mention the room, with its high double roofed ceiling that makes you feel like you’re in a nest on a treetop. It’s spacious, spotless clean (no sign of dump despite daily rain in Ella) and everything works perfectly, even though it’s literally a hanging cottage. The view from the bed/balcony is breathtaking and different every day, and you even see the famous train passing at your feet. DIGITAL NOMADS: we had quite good wifi, enough for videocalls most times of the day, but bring a sim card with data just in case.
