The cottage is in a beautiful and quiet mountain area, close to the Bâlea Waterfall (Cascada Bâlea) (15 min by car) where the cable car starts, which takes you up to the Bâlea Lake. Very nice room, superb shower and bathroom, has a shared kitchen. It also has a porch with chairs to sit and relax and a grill area, which we did not use as it was winter. The host is very kind and helpful, they live in the house next to the cottage. It was a perfect stay.

We made a motorcycle tour by 2 motorbike. The location is very good, the north gate of Transfogaras highmountain alpine road. The house is pretty good, clean and has a fridge and heater on wall. Wi-Fi signal is good and the staff is very friendly.

Where can I start? Let me make a list: - friendly hosts - we felt welcome and like home from the very first day - style - lots of hand made furniture, wood, stone, natural materials create a bit medieval atmosphere. - the views and the location - spectacular, a bit secluded, perfect to escape the hustle and bustle. - dogs - Luna (a Central Asian Shepherd Dog, aka the Alabai) gets a special place in our hearts. A gentle giant, loving pats, scratching and treats. Don't be fooled though - she's a fearless guardian and protects the homestead against wildlife. - facilities - the house is well equipped with all you may need for a pleasant stay. There's a swimming pool, a fireplace/BBQ, whole-beans coffee maker... Oh, and did I mention the hosts? Thank you for having us, we had truly wonderful holidays.

The location was amazing right along the Transfagarasan. Parking in front was easy. The host received us and took us to our room. The little balcony was nice to have for a smoker. TV and wifi worked great in the room. There is a shared kitchen with fridge which was a nice extra.
