I simply loved everything… if I tell you that I was actually depressed to leave to go to the second lodge we booked, would you believe this? - the room was really impeccable, this was my favorite part. We stayed at the Harrier luxury tent. The “lake” goes behind the tent so you can hear all the frogs and animals etc. it’s really amazing. The outdoor shower was crazy good. The room is soooo quiet otherwise. You don’t hear NOTHING except a bunch of different animals. We even heard leopard sounds and a giraffe in the morning. It’s really that amazing. - let me tell you I’m super picky with bedding and sheets and comfort of the bed and I was like AMAZED by how good the bed was. The sheets were high quality… was great 10/10 - the lodge is small so you get really individualized attention, which some might like some might not - they have lots of animals pretty much all the main ones minus lions and rhinos I think. The leopard and hiena are more rare but we did see them in the property so it was SOOO worth it. Flora the guide was super cool and we did an extra drive with her at ngiht to look for the leopard. This for me MADE THE TRIP. Because I felt like I was close to the people working there and we could talk and adjust and be flexible with the stuff. This was a big plus, since I don’t like these SUPER structured commercial lodges (we saw some like that…)

We loved the place. The setting and faculties were great. Having animals close to our room was a surreal experience. Special mention to Witness for walking us to our room every night, to Jika and Caswell for the amazing game drives, they both have so much knowledge and respect for the animals anf kept us safe. Also thanks to Jim at the restaurant for always checking we were ok for food and drinks. It was our first safari and we would definitely return to Moditlo. We saw the big 5, the ugly 5 and much more, it really was incredible.

The lodge is located in an amazing private reserve where you can see all the big 5. The rooms and communal areas are lovely with plenty of places to relax. The staff are exceptional and cannot do enough for you. The drivers and trackers are so knowledgable and we learned so much on our two daily drives.

If you’re looking at this review, book this accommodation! You will stay in a beautifully designed intimate lodge that is spotless and clean, with hosts that are true masters of hospitality. Every detail is considered with care, everything you need will be handled. For the price they far exceeded our expectations. You will receive 5+ star service, incredible food, and (if you wish) great conversation. We will personally tell anyone we know coming to the area to stay here. It is truly the most beautiful accommodation we have ever been to (and we are regular booking.com customers). The decor and style of the owner is sublime. Everything is perfect down to the last detail. The accommodation is equipped with everything you think you need. Super clean. A great chef who makes you a 5-star breakfast every morning. Very reasonable drink prices with the honest bar principle, write down what you used. The location is central and very safe. Wildlife in the backyard. Indeed, you never want to leave here.
