The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and happy to share their knowledge of the area. At Cabaña Eden you are surrounded by nature and when I opened my door the first morning I found myself face to face with a Giant Tortuga.

General Villamil Airport is 3 km from the property. Location was quiet, just outside of town. Just a few minutes walk from downtown or docks. Breakfast was fabulous every morning. The owners were very friendly and helpful when our phones did not work and one of our tours was cancelled. They helped us book with someone else (and we saved a lot of money too for same tour!)

This is a basic hostel without any bells and whistles, but it was cleaned to a sparkle daily, the kitchen was clean and well stocked, and the family who owns it are so sweet and kind. Pepe was very helpful with tours and got us good prices compared to others on offer in town. He showed us around his beautiful garden and gave us fresh oranges from his farm each day. Would stay there again.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Our room was even larger and nicer than we expected and included a kitchenette and veranda. Meals were restaurant quality. Our host and his staff were very attentive. They do an excellent job managing the property. Had we not been on a tight travel schedule, we would have stayed there longer.

Each room at this eco-friendly lodge features large windows overlooking the native vegetation found at the property. They are equipped with a wardrobe and a private bathroom. Very warm welcome. We were made to feel at home and enjoyed a really nice breakfast. Being slightly outside the main town (Puerto Ayora) made it feel very tranquil. Lovely green surroundings with beautiful flowers and banana trees!
