On arrival the studio was lovely and warm, there was a welcome pack of fresh flowers, chocolates and milk which is a nice touch. The studio is very well equipped also coffee, tea, hot chocolate and sugar were provided. It was clean and comfortable. The owners live next door and are on hand if needed but otherwise respect your privacy. Of course the location is the very best. As an experienced mountain hiker I have stayed in many mountain lodges and such. This hotel was en epic experience. That is if you are looking for overnight stay with proper food and drink and a nice bed, but isn`t to much into luxurious rooms and high class restaurants. The proprietor was an amazing and serviceminded fellow.
Super location and very quiet with only six lodges on the site. About a 20 minute walk into the village where there are a couple of lovely pubs. A nice touch with the eggs, bread, milk and cake - thank you! A slight hiccup with the hot tub temperature but this was resolved very quickly after a phone call to the site team. We would definitely recommend!
Stayed in a few lodges on burnside park and this is our best one yet. Clean, tidy, comfortable, warm, good spot. Instructions were clear with regards to access, sofa lovely comfortable ad were beds couldn't ask for more and would defo choose this lodge again.
Beautiful lodges with just about everything we needed for our stay. Very good food in the pub next door albeit service was a tad slow but otherwise, a wonderful stay for our family who'd travelled to join in a ceremony & celebration of my Mum's life and scattering of her ashes on Derwentwater.
Location is beautiful overlooking nature/mountain sceneries. Clean lodges and hot tubs. Comfortable beds and linens. Kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, cookwares etc. Beautiful peacocks everywhere. Receptionist was lovely, she let us checked in a bit early. Very friendly staff.
Stayed in the lodges - great views, extremely spacious accommodation, very comfy beds
Great location. Great staff. Excellent pre check-in and out. This was our 2nd visit. Stayed in the hall itself which was good and also stayed in the lodges, just as good.
Rooms are great in the Lodges
