Welcoming and pleasant staff, ideally situated for the safari park and clean comfy rooms.

Location is great, haven’t stayed here since the 80’s when it was a bit more cared for - classic faded grandeur - now cheap and cheerful still more fun than an anonymous travel lodge etc

The room was very nicely furnished, the hotel was clean and the staff I spoke to were polite. Quite a big room for the money and stylish. I'm tall and could fit in the bath (unusual). It was much better than the average Travelodge/Premier Inn which are often the same cost per night, depending on location.

Green Lodge is in convenient position- 5 minute walk to railway station(approx.25 mins.across to city of Liverpool). Hoylake beach is also 5 min.stroll from hotel. I didn’t have breakfast, but liked how small area in pub was set aside for it. Enjoyed two evening meals though- good menu choice. Huge thumbs up to Simon and Jim…made a single female traveller feel most welcome…excellent Marston Inn staff.

Location great for a flight. Would say standard is that if a travelodge

We are a couple staying for one night to catch an early flight. We can say with no doubt that the reception service was fantastic! The location is so close to airport which was very convenient for us. The room was so cosy, clean with very comfy bed 👌we had a lovely stay. There was a parking designated for a quite a few cars, so we didn't have to worry.. It was a good value for money. We will definitely use it again. So we would highly recommend the Gateway Lodge!

The bed was comfy other than that it's just an expensive travel lodge
