I stayed here for just over two weeks, and if not for other commitments, I would have happily extended my stay to a month or more. I absolutely loved my cozy little cottage and the private garden, which added a special charm to my experience. Hope to visit Pemuteran again, and when I do, this will definitely be my first choice for accommodation. A few restaurant recommendations nearby: • Pemuteran Coffee & breads serves amazing coffee and has a lovely atmosphere. • Warung De Lekong is a small, clean, and authentic local eatery with delicious food, and they even deliver to the lodge.

We chose the Sacred Beji to enjoy its calm jungle surroundings and it did not disappoint. The setting was very private and we enjoyed the use of the pool (shared by two villas) almost exclusively for ourselves. The staff at Sacret Beji was ready to help us with anything - Ami in particular made the extra effort and assisted us with various requests including booking us an amazing massage at the premises. The Jackfruit Restaurant, which is part of the larger complex, had a large variety of food, and everything we tried there was delicious. We explored the surrounding areas by scooters but anyone can easily hire cheap taxis to get around - Ubud is about 30 minutes south and Mt Batur is about 45 minutes north :)

The breakfast is excellent and I tried for the first time pisang goreng (fried banana) the best in my opinion. I could also use a motorbike to go to jatiluwih rice fields it is only 20 min driving

Being lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the jungle is absolutely exquisite. The energy here is extremely healing and rejuvenating. Highly recommended! Thank you Oemah Tepi Sawah! The lodge offers a spa centre. Tucked away in an idyllic and peaceful corner of Sidemen, Bali, is Babakan. The beating heart of this accommodation is Gede and his wonderful family. Very responsive and helpful from our very first communication, Gede left no stone unturned to ensure we have a 10/10 experience. Right from greeting us with his ever smiling face from the airport, to driving us to Sidemen to sharing sight seeing tips that match with my philosophy of travel, Gede went above and beyond. The house is spotlessly clean, as it is maintained by Gede's family with all basic amenities like air conditioning, wardrobe, toiletries etc. We were initially scared thinking there could be mosquitoes as we are in the middle of the rice fields but we're pleasantly surprised to see none. Waking up to the wonderful view of the Agung mountain, starting the day with yummy fried noodles and simply admiring the greenery that Sidemen has to offer - we stayed here for 2 nights and the place absolutely exceeded my expectations. One simply has to experience the hospitality here, to want to keep coming back every time. Team Babakan also are super helpful in terms of arranging transport and offering recommendations wherever needed.
