We really enjoyed our stay at Castle Lodge Kilkenny! The location was perfect for us. We walked into town and back without a problem. It was a distance but very enjoyable. The room had everything we needed and the shower was the best we had on our trip! The breakfast was awesome and provided more than enough food for two people and very yummy. We would definately stay here again when coming to Kilkenny.

The knock on the door signaling the arrival of our daily "breakfast basket" was a welcome start to the day! Orange juice, warm croissants and bread, cereal, fruit and the most delicious yoghurt jars! The lodge was in a great location - walking distance to the castle and pubs! The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. A perfect "home away from home".

The place was well maintained and clean. We had an easy 15 minute stroll to the castle and into town. The breakfast in the morning was sufficient to get us on our way for the day. Overall we were quite happy with the lodging, good value for what we paid.

We loved the breakfast in the morning, seemed like homemade scones and cakes (brought to lodge in a basket for breakfast in bed). That was definitely a highlight. We felt the hosts were friendly.

Castle Lodge is easy to find and has ample off street parking. Our room was tucked under the eaves and was pretty, well appointed, spacious and comfortable with a large ensuite bathroom. Our breakfast was brought to our room in a picnic basket with a generous and good choice of items. I loved the picnic basket - charming touch. Liam was very helpful and gave us good advice on what to see, where to go and how to catch live local music - a real treat as we found out later live music wasn't so easy to find.

Absolutely everything. We had a warm welcome from Mairead and Jimmy when we arrived and they treated us like royalty. The Lodge is charming in every way. The facilities are superb, as was the food. I’m sure we will return!

TheLodge was within walking distance of all the sights of Kilkenny, a lovely place to stay.

Newlands Lodge is beautiful and we had a fantastic time there. Mairead made us feel very welcome and gave us a lot of information in relation to things to do, and places to eat in the area. We will definitely be back soon.
