Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine.

We spent the last days of our holiday at Zur Alten Mine and it turned out to be a great choice! We stayed in a lovely lake-view cabin which was fully equipped with everything you can wish for during your stay. We chose for the served breakfast which was a delight with very tasteful, homemade products and freshly baked bread. The owner Rainer knows the region very well and gave us advise on sightseeing in the area and even on the best route and roads to the airport. Also: go for his restaurant suggestions! You won't regret it! It was definitely a nice end to our tour through South Africa.

There is also a stovetop, toaster and a kettle. In the middle of the nature, beautiful, chalet very well equiped and clean. We were there with our 2 Kids and they loved it. Pool, small playground, path along the river. We only stayed one night as we were on our way to Blyde canyon but it was the Perfect quiet stop. Staff was very friendly!
