Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. There is a main deck with a splash pool, a bar, and a barbecue. After we booked the stay, we had a very good contact with the owners and when we met them on arrival, it was great fun to finaly meet them and also that the place was so very nice - actullay much better than we hoped for. They have a lot of things in the rooms and you could get the feeling that it's to much, but for us - we liked it ! The room was very nice, comfy beds and the bathroom seemed to by quite newly renovated. A very good breakfast in the morning as well. We was just in for one ( 1 ) night, but could easily stayed longer. After we left, we got an mail with a lemut saying: We miss you already !! Lovely !

Rooiberg Lodge is 156 km from George Airport. This is a beautiful place, nicely remote from the real world! The food was excellent - great quality, taste and value. Excellent service from all we encountered. We’d recommend visitors go on the nature drive… so much to learn about the beautiful Karoo. Great to be escorted by such an enthusiastic guide! Another highlight was the pool - in such beautiful surrounds, and made even more magical by the evening visit of the zebra and various bucks to graze. We’d love to return!

He was incredibly communicative leading up to our stay and took extra care to arrange thoughtful gifts for a special birthday celebration, which was such a delightful surprise. The lodge itself was charming, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Every detail of our stay exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear that Richard genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. We couldn’t recommend Duckpond Lodge more and will definitely be returning!
