We had a great stay. It has breathtaking views from executive room. The rooms have excellent design, comfortable and clean. The hosts are nice. This lodge is a must-visit on a trip to Kruger park or back just for relaxing. I very rarely rate hotels as 10, but this is one of the few.

Private bathroom as part of the tent. The staff is very friendly and you can easily connect with other people during game drive or at the camp fire. Game drives were fantastic! We have seen all the big 5 and our guides Karabo and Floyd are very knowledgeable. We also really enjoyed the food. The star is the braai (bbq) which offers options for meat lovers and vegetarians. I was surprised how good the oxtail was. The starter soups are also amazing. Vegetarian options were also available on request. Potential allergies were requested beforehand. For breakfast my favourite was the omelette, but other options are provided as well. Besides all of this you can enjoy the pool surrounded by birds between your game drives and in the night time, the sounds of the bush (yes we heard hyenas while falling asleep, but no need to worry, all is safe as a fence separates you from the wild animals!). Excellent all inclusive stay, I was well taken care of by dedicated staff from before arrival until after checkout. Complimentary airport transfers to Skukuza and guide made sure we saw as much as possible on the game drives. Excellent food served every meal.

A terrace can be found at Umkumbe Safari Lodge Riverside, along with a shared lounge. we loved everything about Umkumbe safari lodge. the staff were incredibly nice and anticipated every need. the views from the property were amazing. we saw a troop of baboons and a herd of elephants. then the safaris! our guide Shannon was so awesome! she found so many animals and had a wealth of information about every animal. it was unforgettable!!!
