What an enchanting place suffused with so much history! You could feel the ghosts of Henry the VIII and his wives and mistresses wandering the gardens and the halls. We were luck with the weather - sunshiny and summerlike - and spent the late afternoon and early evening sitting out in one of the gardens listening to the blackbird songs. The dinner in the library was excellent - everything prepared with infinite care and attention. And the service was attentive but not intrusive. The gardens, a recent labor of love, are just now coming into full realization. A perfect stay.

The room decoration would beautiful! Lovely spacious room and wonderful en-suite bathroom with a big bathtub. Supplied full sized local toiletries which smelled amazing, which can be purchased from reception to take home. Bed was very big and very comfortable. A Continental breakfast was delivered every morning with a variety of fruits, yoghurt and granola and pastry with butter and jams as well as fresh fruit juice. Very lovely selection and enjoyed having breakfast in bed each morning. The location is perfect, lots of local great pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walking distance and great for walking to all the big attractions (within 15 minutes)

Opened in December 2016, No.15 Great Pulteney is situated just a 3-minute stroll from Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths.

We had a very lovely 3-night stay at the Painswick Hotel, we stayed in the Sladbrook room which has a beautiful view over the garden and the valley. It is such a relaxing place, but equally there are so many things to do around, depending on what your interests are. We visited Broadway and Stroud. Libby was very kind and helped us with a lot of information about what was worth visiting, and with anything else we needed. Adriana was very, very friendly, she looked after us every morning at breakfast. The food was very good, the menu is not very big, but everything we had was delicious. We will definitely return.

The apartment was nicely decorated and fully equipped. The staff was very helpful, very prompt in dealing with our query. The bed was very comfortable. We felt very much at home away from home. The apartment was centrally located to everything interesting landmark, great shopping and eating area. There were lots of name brand shopping to keep the avid shopper very happy. Being there for the historical side of Bath, the apartment was near to the Jane Austen museum and Roman baths, only 8 minutes walk.
