I had an incredible stay at this property! Having visited Anuradhapura before, I can honestly say this time felt like a real getaway. The location is perfect—close to all the must-see landmarks, which made it so easy to explore the history and culture of the area. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how peaceful and welcoming the place felt. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotless, and the food was absolutely fantastic—definitely five-star quality. One of the highlights for me was the calm, zen-like atmosphere, especially while relaxing by the beautiful pool. Breakfast was great! This was arranged under a shady 'Arjun Tree' (Kumbuk in Sinhala) in the charming compound filled with bird calls, butterflies right in front of the room. It was so appealing, appetizing, delicious and wholesome. The hospitality of the owners of the Golden Gate Ceylon was great indeed. The place is so quiet, secure and peaceful. You will really feel the tranquil.

Amazing view from the hotel room. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. The personnel was super friendly and helpful. We included a Sri Lankan breakfast, which was delicious (expect big portions 😄).

Beautiful base from which to visit all the wonderful sights in the area. Great after a long day out to be able to come back to the hotel and relax before a really good evening meal. The staff were all polite and respectful whist remaining discreet. Thank you for a wonderful day.
