Nine Skies is the definition of boutique luxury. It is a small hotel with only 5 rooms and the service we received from all the staff was truly so personable this really felt like a home away from home. The design of the whole hotel is beautiful with a wonderful living room, with a cosy fire in the evenings, and our suite room was beautiful with a terrace. The pool has an amazing view over the tea plantation. All the meals we had were delicious. Our host was very friendly and helpful, organising day trips for us and setting up our own table with lots of candles for dinner by the pool one evening, and also set up our own private breakfast at a look out point which were both lovely experiences. This hotel is brilliant if you want a very quiet, secluded spot in the Hill Country with excellent service and food. It is an expensive hotel but it is worth the money.

Magical peaceful space set about 2k from the city of Ella, with a short tuck tuck ride to the city centre. A family run business who was so kind and nice. A big, healthy breakfast. A large double room with a big private balcony. Really comfortable bed. Would highly recommend for people who don't want to be in the madness and loudness of Ella. The owner arranged everything for us. He even recommended a lovely restaurant and dropped us to the door.

The rooms are clean, very comfortable, the staff is nice. The breakfast was also good with variety between days. The location is close to Ella city. It is close to many restaurants and shops. The internet was very good compared to other places I have been to in Sri Lanka.

What a lovely little place. Super easy to access and just tucked off of the main road. Please note - use the Google Maps link that the hosts send, as we searched 'Wood Chalets Ella' on Google Maps and it takes you to a different property a few kms away, way up in the hills (this is the case at the time of writing but I flagged it with the hosts and they were looking to rectify the issue). The hosts could not do enough for us and provided a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning, which we ate on the terrace. As for the cabin itself, there has obviously been a lot of thought put into its design. It has tea/coffee making facilities (which is always welcome!), the bed is comfy and there are plug sockets on either side of the bed. They also had space for us to park our tuktuk. Thank you for a lovely stay!
