We LOVED the Salty Dog Inn. What a wonderful surprise. Snells Beach is a hidden treasure even in the rain. I booked it for one night on our way from Rotorua to Paihia. I wish we had made this more than in interim stopover. The room was wonderful. The restaurant food delightful. The staff was excellent. And did I mention the great WIFI? You can not go wrong staying here!

This 70 year old who is used to his creature comforts really liked this place. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable shared facilities that were never short of spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. This is a campsite and we had a "boatshed". Perfect for three nights.

The rooms are big and offer all you need for an overnight stay. The bed is big and everything is very clean. Yet there is a bit of a old smell from the carpet. The parking is right in front of your room, which is very handy. The self check in is supposed to work smoothly, but as we booked last moment we didn't get the code in time and had to wait for about half an hour in front to get a new code. They were nice and let us check out 30min later.

At Orewa Beachcomber all our units are beautifully presented with touches of home and we cater for private or corporate guests.
