Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.

No maid service. Motel room floors were stained throughout. Motel didn't have a attendant when needed only a phone number in case of emergency. No phone in room. Cups in bathroom not individually wrapped, just sitting out exposed. The TV streamed stations weren't coming through until you sit and wait about 10 to 15 minutes.

Rooms clean and uncluttered. Hard floors vs. carpeting always a good choice. For a motel (outdoor only entrances with stairs no elevator), there were lots of accessible points to get to where you wanted to go. Breezways, lots of staircases etc
Staff was intentionally friendly and unbothered.
