Cooks Gardens Motor Lodge ASURE is a 5-minute walk from Wanganui Racecourse and the Greyhound Track. It is a 4-minute drive from the War Memorial Hall and Sarjeant Art Gallery. Wanganui Airport is a 6-minute drive away. The most heartwarming and friendly host. The hostess gave us wise suggestions on sightseeing routes. The rooms are very spacious and clean, well equipped with air condition, comfy beds, convenient parking outside the door.

It offers self-contained accommodation with free parking and free Wi-Fi access. The room is very clean, the owner is pretty friendly, chose this motel is the best decision I made in this journey.

Some suites have a spa bath. I stayed here for almost three weeks in late 2023 and it was perfect for my needs. This is a very well-run motel. The hosts are professional, friendly, and very responsive to any requests. They obviously care about guest satisfaction and comfort. The room was very clean and quiet. There is a well-equipped kitchenette and a good-sized TV with many channels. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well the entire visit. The location is excellent because it is directly across the road from the Esplanade which is a fantastic urban park with natural bush, formal gardens and lots of walking paths and track, and also (for families) a large playground and wading pool for kids. There's a bus stop right at the gate and it's only a few minutes ride to The Square and the Plaza shopping center. I'm very happy to have chosen Harringtons for my stay and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
