When we arrived (which was late due to traffic) we were greeted by the enthusiasm of the host, he helped us with parking and was very excited to show us the place. We felt very welcome. There are private bathrooms which you can book to bath with your friends/family, one of the best thing about this little gem in Atami:) I was surprised by the cleanliness and the comfort level here. it’s a newly refurbished building, it has three floors with a spacious living room/common room on the second floor which is shared by all the customers here. The room comes with a standard toilet and a shower and quite spacious overall. The tatami bed is comfy. Other reviews complained about the location, but because we drive we think it is an amazing spot! It’s 3 min drive from the famous shrine, and 5 minute to the ginza where there is lots of restaurants and shops. You can also see the fireworks display in the living room if you come on the right times:) We didn’t get the youthful and energetic host’s name, but thank you so much we had a great time staying!!

View is amazing, I mean really amazing. Just before the hotel is a Fuji viewing spot and you have it outside your window. Onsen in the room was great and you can open doors and view Fuji from the hot batch and that is just insane. In the night is is absolutely silent and you can see the sky full of stars. I only wish we would stay longer.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was enormous, comfortable, with a great bed, a large living area and an onsen in the room. All the meals were exceptional both in terms of quality and of service. Both public and private onsen in the property were beautiful, clean, with everything needed. Thoughtful details in the room.

Staff & Facilities were exceptional. Very friendly with good basic English to assist us. Specific bathing options were great, with lots of variety and felt ideal to keep women safe while maintaing traditional practices. Food was excellent, well presented and so much more than we even expected based on pictures. The welcome tea and traditional Japanese sweet treat was delicious when we arrived as well.
