The dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing. The food is some of the best Washoku I have had in a long long time. The room had a massive double king bed and a beautiful view of the ocean. The private onsen was also so amazing. Apparently, one of the taxi drivers my partner and I took mentioned that Emperor Hirohito back in Showa 1954 had apparently stayed at this location many years ago. That should pretty much describe how amazing this place is.

Brilliant place with amazing staff. We will be back. Very disappointed we had to give up one night as our son got Covid so we had to stay on in Tokyo. Will make up for it next time.

We had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Ichinomatso. The staff were very kind and professional, and made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious and deserving of a Michelin star! Our hostess was absolutely lovely and very warm and kind. She gave us some excellent recommendations for local activities. The onsen was very relaxing.

The definite highlight was the public bath (onsen) and sauna facilities in the hotel! It was absolutely marvellous! Brand new and extremely relaxing. The room was pristine clean, spacious with large bathroom and it was right next to the station which was very handy.
