They were always ready to answer every request and need for help. Their kindness was incomparable. But it was not just them. The room was beautiful: big and comfortable, with its own onsen. And the food was delicious: hands-down the best dinner and the best breakfast I had during my stay in Japan. Thank you for this authentic and fascinating experience!

The facilities were so perfectly clean and well well maintained and well equipped, especially the Onsen We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and loved it, including the futons to sleep on the floor The staff was extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. The dinner experience was the highlight of our Japan trip and I can only recommend it!

From the shuttle that met us at the train station, to Natalie explaining all different courses of kaiseki, to the owners welcoming us. We really appreciated the tranquility the room offered. We had a great view of the garden from our balcony. The private onsen was the icing on the cake. It was the most relaxing thing, we used it 4 times during our one day stay. All in all, I was looking for a traditional Japanese experience and Matsusaki did not disappoint.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. The baths were stunning and really clean. We particularly enjoyed the rock bath. It is about a 25min taxi ride to most of the sights and attractions in Kanazawa. That didn’t bother us because really enjoyed the serene and private feel of being further from the city, but something to keep in mind. Also, I was blown away by the meals and by how fresh all of the food was. If staying here, definitely attend the breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. It almost had the feel of a Michelin star restaurant.

The owner and team were so wonderful and looked after us beautifully. The suite itself was divine. Soaking in a cedar tub while looking at the forest floor is something we’ll never forget. The private dining room makes your stay feel even more exclusive. The food was truly out of this world. Our baby was catered for beautifully. We even had a large Moses basket in the dining room for her to rest. The area itself is very cool- there was an arts and crafts fair there when we stayed. There is a beautiful forest walk too. Can’t fault the stay and can’t wait to return one day.
