Front desk is very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean and spacious compared with other business hotels. Floors are limited to guests only. It also has a decent public bath, which is unthinkable with the roughly $100 USD rate. Breakfast is in the ball room, with great variety.

Everywhere was clean, the rooms were comfortable, the breakfast had a wide variety. The onsen at the hotel was very good. The location was also very good, five minutes walk from Kyoto central train station. We enjoyed everything, we are glad we chose this place.

There are 2 indoor hot springs baths and an open-air bath at the property. It's very tidy and comfortable. Despite being a dorm, one could have his private box with bed, night table, and locker. I really appreciated the bento box for dinner and lunch box for the day after.

It is very peaceful and a nice 15 minute walk to many restaurants and beach. The staff made us feel so welcome. The bakery is top notch. I have had very delicious baked goods in multiple European countries, and this is right up there. We thought at first the mattress was a little firm(this seems standard in Japan), but ended up sleeping well.
