Providing free WiFi throughout the property, the ryokan is allergy-free and features a hot spring bath. Room was very spacious. There were 3 heaters in the room, so definately warm enough to anyone's liking if you needed. Room onsen was nice. Food was in a private dining room for dinner and breakfast. There was a very nice lounge to relax in as well. There is a public cave onsen that was quite special. In winter, roads may have snow and need to be wary if driving in.

We had one of our best nights in Japan at Okyakuya! From the first minute the service was outstanding, our baggage was transported to our room, car parked. Great room, even tough traditional it was modernized keeping its original charm. Both dinner and breakfast where amongst the best we had in any Ryokan we stayed at. After checking out we where offered additional towels as we wanted to explorer other Onsens in town

The staff service was excellent. The room is very spacious and cosy. From the room balcony, we can enjoy the stunning autumn foliage and colours. Located in the centre of Kurokawa hot-spring area, it offers Japanese accommodations and free WiFi at the lobby. Free shuttle is available to/from Ogunimachi Yu Station and bus stop Kurokawa. Shinmeikan is a truly amazing ryokan/ onsen. The whole building just oozes authenticity. Great tatami style rooms overlooking the river, super friendly staff who will help you with all your needs. Great onsen baths, especially the cave bad is spectacular. Dinner and breakfast are equally high quality and display a variety of Japanese cuisine. Absolute perfect place if you want to experience traditional Japanese onsen style ryokan.

It also features a lounge with complimentary coffee and WiFi, a terrace and a garden. Free parking is available. The place, the service, the staff, the atmosphere, the baths... everything is wonderful. When visiting Japan, spending a day in an onsen village is a must! And Kurokawa Onsen is the best place.

THis was my first stay in a Ryokan and it did not disappoint. THe whole experience was magical - the room, the view over the hills, forest and town, the baths. The meals were excellent - two different breakfasts and and we took to the opportunity to have the Kaiseki dinners - an amazing assortment of tastes and textures. Kurokawa is a magical town that is wonderful to walk aroundand we took the opportunity to get an Onsen passport to try a few of the other baths. THe parking is easy. THe staff were excellent and patiently helped us understand the way to to enjoy a Ryokan

Free Wi-Fi is available at the public area. Great location, very nice setting and loved the different Onsen. The food was amazing and the staff very thoughtful and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

39 km from Mount Aso, Yamashinobu features a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in the Ota Onsen district of Minamioguni. The ryokan provides a spa experience, with its hot spring bath, public bath and open-air bath. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. It was a fantastic onsen hotel that exceeded our expectations. The Irori room with sake was great and we were able to meet a lot of other guests. Stargazing was amazing as well!

Free Wi-Fi is offered in the public area, and parking is available for free. A charming place. Excellent Japanease style interiors. Quite and clean. Superb dinner and breakfast. Relaxing Onsen on site. A nice short walk though the village - some old houses, other ryokan and the river in the middle. Way better then Beppu
