Exceptional Guesthouse. I must thank the Manager (did not get his name) for refunding me for a night's stay as there was a change in plans. He was very, very kind.
I loved the in-house onsen.

There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Guests also enjoy access to the hot spring bath and spa facilities, as well as the public bath and open-air bath. This was one of my best experiences at an onsen hotel in Japan during my 10+ years of travel. The staff were exceptional—responsive, welcoming, and able to communicate easily. Parking is right next to the hotel. Guests can enjoy the onsen facilities within the hotel and the nearby 長生湯, just a two-minute walk away. Both onsens are clean with 長生湯 offering a stunning view of the starry sky at night. There's also a restaurant nearby for supper which is convenient. Our room was spacious. We booked a 4-person room for just the two of us but the space is more than enough for 6 adults I would say! If I'm travelling with my family, I'm sure they would be super happy with the room. The food was delicious and satisfying, especially the house plum wine, which is a must-try! Overall speaking, excellent stay and great value for money!

Absolutely authentic ryokan and hot spring experience.
Well located next to the hiking trail. We arrived late after sunset and left early, so can’t say much. The rooms were very clean, the showers are private onsen which was nice. They provide some basic dinner and porridge for breakfast which was very kind.
Lovely hotel staff, perfect location, great traditional Japanese hot spring. Quality-price is great.
Very nice place. Close to the public onsen and bus station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are traditionally decorated and very clean which I really liked. The private onsen are also a highlight! Highly recommended.
Amazing accomodation with very clean and nice Japanese rooms and private onsens. Best treatment after a big hike!
The indoor gendered onsen was really good and of a very soothing warm temperature. The outdoor onsen is mixed gendered so doning the bathing suits provided at the indoor onsens, families could onsen together and bask in the outdoor stoney river sights.
It is very clean! And right across from the station. The individual bed sections offer great privacy. The onsen (hot springs) across the train station is great. There is plenty to see in this "maguro" city! Great WiFi.
A good hostel, in a good location (though Yunomine onsen is not that big). It had a nice tatami common area that even had a few games provided, such as go. The hostel had its own private hot springs, that are free to use: a lovely outdoor bath, a relatively big indoor bath and a rather small indoor bath. We had booked a private room, not big but fine with three persons. We received bento boxes for dinner and you could grab rice for free. There was also free rice porridge for breakfast. Overall very good value for the price.
This is an exceptional place! If you are hiking the Kumano Kodo trail this accommodation is very well located. The owner was super friendly and prepared a fabulous dinner and breakfast. The accommodation was very clean and quiet and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing, plus there was a private Onsen at the accommodation - Exactly what you needed after a long day of hiking.
A welcoming and cosy place in a beautiful spot where you can dig your own hot spring in river banks, whilst also having two private onsen to boot.
