Our stay at the aghasu tun b and b ended up being one of our favorite parts of Armenia. Amalia (sp?) was a lovely host who not only was a great chef but it was very nice to get to know her and share our love of music together. There is a communal area where we got to spend the evening with other guests who were also very lovely and showered us as well with Armenian hospitality. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family. Surrounding area is very beautiful (don't miss Lori fortress). Amalias garden is also really cool!

An excellent choice for being close to Haghpat Monastery and viewing beautiful Debed Canyon. Our hosts, Mary and her family were such beautiful and kind helpful people. Lovely clean and comfortable room with air conditioning and a great shower. We spent 3 nights here and it was a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying walks and soaking up the wonderful vibe and scenery early morning and early evening when it was quiet and the gorgeous sunsets were spectacular. The cooking was exceptional. We ate breakfast and dinner at the tavern and Mary our host provided us with delicious home made butter, jams, cheeses, honey and various home cooked meals which were fine examples of beautiful Armenian cuisine. Mary speaks excellent English so was easily able to help us with any queries. I highly recommend Haghpat Hotel.

Cool place, crazy nature. Homemade products, ecological, real. Comfortable room, the room has everything you need. The hosts are hospitable and ready to help with everything. Thanks Marina and all the best for you! You cared for me as a mother, cooking amazing breakfasts with something different everyday. The food was tasty and plentiful so I did not need to eat anything until evening.The location of the house was perfect for hiking and enjoying the stunning views of the canyon along the Debet River as well as visiting the monasteries of Sanahin, Haghpat and Akhtala. All the house was really clean and spotless including the bathroom. Unbeatable value for money!

Mary and her family were the kindest and most welcoming hosts we could wish for. Right upon our arrival they offered us tea and refreshments and gave us various tips on what to see in the area.Their homemade dinners and breakfasts (served at a terrace with wonderful views) are huge and simply delicious, absolutely perfect after a whole day spent in the mountains around Haghpat. The room itself is very light and spacious, located in a house in the middle of a rural vegetable garden a few hundred meters from the monastery. In spite of our very poor knowledge of Russian, Mary's parents were always very friendly and open to talk with and fully accommodated all our wishes. We'll be very happy to come again if ever back in Armenia. Thank you! <3
