A Perfect Solo Escape – 10 Stars Aren’t Enough! I stayed here alone this summer, hoping to unwind, recharge, and enjoy a bit of peace by the lake — and this hotel exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a dream. The setting is unreal: a crystal-clear alpine lake nestled among towering green mountains, with summer sunshine sparkling on the water and wildflowers blooming everywhere. The view from my room — especially from the balcony — was absolutely breathtaking. I often just sat there in silence, taking it all in. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between comfort and charm. It felt cozy and welcoming, but still elegant. Traveling alone can sometimes feel awkward, but here I felt completely at ease. The staff were genuinely kind — always helpful, never intrusive — and made me feel like more than just a guest. Every morning started with a peaceful breakfast overlooking the lake, and every evening ended with a sunset that looked like something from a painting. I spent my days swimming, walking along the shore, hiking nearby trails, and simply enjoying the stillness. This place gave me exactly what I needed: space to breathe, think, and just be. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you — the kind that changes you a little. If you're considering a solo trip and need beauty, serenity, and a true escape — look no further. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Apartment in the quiet recreation area, easy walk from cristal clear lake. Plenty to do for everyone in the family. Private sauna and small pool just outside to relax. Easy drive to Hallstatt but, in our oppinion, Grundlsee is great and much quieter for nature lovers.

Abosolutely top notch exprerience! A fantastic and quiet location right on the lake front. The appartment was clean and equipped in a very practical way, apart from the microwave there was everything we needed. Also I need to mention the lady who was responsible for the apartments, she was very kind and helpful. At one point we mentioned to her the toaster would come in handy and the next day she brought it in. We can highly recommend this place!

We stayed for just one night and found the place amazing. It’s very quiet at night, ideally located for hiking, with plenty to explore in the area. The breakfast was great, and I loved that you could make your own tea by combining different ingredients. There’s ample parking, and the beds were extremely comfortable. A little smile from the staff would have made this stay ideal, but I don’t want to lower the rating as everything else was perfect.

    OMG THIS IS THE BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO Location is amazing 🤩 Lake view from the room unbelievable Good service, spa, parking We stayed with 3 years old child and didn’t want to leave.

    The flat itself is fairly well laid out for 3 persons, comfortable beds plus sofa and large enough to move around. The toilet area and the shower area was divided by a glass separator (which was not ceiling high) and this was interesting to see upon arrival. It was bright but you are almost too visible from the passers by on the parking lot across or the hotel across. It is close directly to the lake and other facilities as well as activities in Grundlsee. For a short 2 night stay, this was an acceptable flat.

    The hotel is located in a very beautiful place. We paid extra for the lake view and didn't regret it for a second, the view was worth it. The room was very clean, with thoughtful things that could be useful. Very stylish renovated furniture, tasteful design.Convenient parking space. Beautiful nature, peace, a charming lake with clear water. Fabulous walking trails. Everything in the hotel was comfortable and the area was tidy. We would definitely like to go back there.

    The room was large enough for two people and luggage, with seating and eating areas as well as a big balcony. The bed was very comfortable and you couldn't hear any noise from outside when the windows were closed. Really enjoyed the view onto the sea. Another useful addition was the luggage wagon available for use, especially when you're traveling with a few luggage items. The parking garage is also a great bonus, as it has easy access to the elevator.

    Fantastic, comfortable bed. Very warm inside room, which was crucial due to cold weather outside. Sauna available all the time with additional space to rest and make yourself some tea with lake view. Free, spacious parking in front of hotel. Good breakfast. Beautiful view on the lake and mountains.
