We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful—he greeted us with fresh fruit and made us feel very welcome from the start. He also helped us arrange taxis and took the time to explain what to see in the city. Thanks to his recommendations, we truly enjoyed exploring the area. Highly recommended!

Of the six places we stayed during our trip to China, this guesthouse was truly exceptional. The place is beautifully decorated and clean, but what really makes it special is Mary. She was incredibly helpful, planning our three-day itinerary in the area and even rescuing us when we found ourselves without tickets for the Glass Bridge. The food Mary prepared for us, both breakfast and dinner, was delicious. One of our daughters is gluten-free, and Mary always remembered this, preparing special dishes just for her. This was the best guesthouse we stayed at in China.

I had a fantastic stay at this accommodation hosted by Xiaomei. Xiaomei and her brother were incredibly nice and helpful throughout our visit. We had a tight schedule, and they went above and beyond in recommending the best ways to fit all of our plans. As an unexpected delight, Xiaomei taught us how to play Mahjong, and it was an absolute blast! The room we stayed in was wonderful, providing a cozy and comfortable space to relax after a long day of exploring. The breakfast served was not only delicious but also a perfect start to our mornings. Overall, our experience here was memorable, thanks to Xiaomei's hospitality and the exceptional quality of the accommodation. We can't wait to return!

Our experience at Nvue was way beyond our expectations! The room was nice with a great view of the mountains and only 10 minutes walk from the park gate. What really set this hotel apart is, however, the amazing staff! They helped plan our days in amazing Zhangjaijie and booked the necessary tickets for us. They really went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. 11/10 service from Tim and his crew, a heartfelt thank you from us.

We had a wonderful stay. It was clean and quiet, beautiful views of the mountains. Very easy communication with Lucas who was very welcoming, and arranged drivers/ tours for us. Can easily walk to the West gate of the park. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable beds. We had most breakfasts and evening meals in the hotel, there was a good variety, but worth planning ahead if wanting to eat out as location is fairly rural.

I've stayed at Tongfu Inn for five nights and I couldn't have chosen something better to explore the Zhangjiajie national park. Carol will explain everything you need to know about what you can explore and how it works, she helped me buying tickets and transports and she gave me some maps. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Carol and her family are always available to help you with anything you need and they will cook super tasty and fresh food everyday. Tongfu Inn is definitely super recommended!

Just back from a wonderful stay at The Avatar Valley Villas and felt compelled to leave a note. Firstly, the location is absolutely spot-on. Situated nicely between both the Cathedral Gardens and Riverside Abbey, it meant we could enjoy a lovely short stroll to each – incredibly convenient and saved us no end of time. What truly made the difference, however, was the staff. Absolutely first-rate! Before we'd even quite figured out our plans for the day, the concierge (James, I believe?) proactively reached out to check if we needed any help with transport. Not only did they swiftly arrange a very comfortable car for our longer trip out to the hills, but they also helped us map out a sensible itinerary and went the extra mile by pre-booking our timed-entry tickets for both main attractions. Took all the usual faff and queueing stress completely out of the equation! It felt like they genuinely anticipated our needs as tourists. The whole experience was seamless, thanks to their thoughtf
