The room was fine but the best part was outside of it. Beautiful hotel garden, very entertaining for families with young kids (pool, minigolf, pool table, foosball table, easy forest trail for hiking, bathing in the river close by, loads of animals to see. Staff was super friendly and helpful - food in the restaurant really good.

Our stay at this beautiful accommodation in Matapalo was simply fantastic! From the very first moment, we felt welcome, and the hosts were super friendly and helpful. The accommodation is just a short walk from the beach. The surrounding area and the village itself are lovely and perfect for relaxation – at the same time, we were able to spot some amazing wildlife, such as macaws and sloths. It is conveniently located between Manuel Antonio and Uvita, making it easy to explore both areas. The rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and of the highest quality. Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The hosts provided excellent tips for excursions and activities in the area. You can truly feel that they run this place with passion and dedication! Breakfast is freshly prepared every morning based on a selection of options, accompanied by a small bowl of fruit and freshly brewed coffee. We can 100% recommend this accommodation! If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful, and nature-inspired stay, this is the perfect place for you. We would definitely come back!

Paradiselodge makes an exceptional stay…would highly recommend! Spotlessly clean, super comfy large bed, great breakfast, lovely hot shower, amazing view over the valley with waterfall from the bed and incredibly welcoming hosts. Note there is a well equipped kitchenette to prepare meals, a terrace to relax & dine, a lovely pool to use at all times, sun beds & umbrellas, trails to explore the estate, remote secure gate & boundary. All this in a great position to explore by car the beautiful nearby beaches & Nauyaca waterfalls, which is next door. The hosts Annett, Fritz & Peter have an immense wealth of knowledge about the local area & will help with suggesting tours, restaurants & places of interest. 10/10 well done team ParadiseLodge! 🤩

Beautiful, spacious, very close to a beautiful beach. The place is full with birds and plants. It has a small but nice swimmimg pool, David, the owner. and all the staff are helpful and courteous . I really recomend this place.

What a gem in an idyllic setting, right on the beautiful beach, with iguanas and monkeys running among the palm trees. A great spot to relax or catch a surf. An exceptional staff, kind people who take visible pride in their work. Carmen is great, responds quickly, and goes the extra mile to make sure you have a pleasant stay. And the pancakes for breakfast are perfect! We will surely be back ;-)

This place is a true gem. In a tiny village (3 restaurants, 1 convenience store) close to Manuel Antonio NP is this small scale hotel with a large pool area. We stayed in a very large apartment with beautiful wooden floors and lots of windows. Everything is kept nice and clean and is decorated with care. Staff is lovely and helpful eg the gardener went out of his way to point out the abundant wildlife in the lovely garden and surrounding greenery. Opposite the hotel is an amazing kilometers long stretch of pristine beach with hardly a soul on it. Best of all though where the animals that visit the hotel. We had a mum & baby sloth in the tree next to the pool which we could observe up close all day, saw a raccoon, lots of birds and iguana’s. And monkeys were swinging from the roof outside our windows in the morning. Would warmly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here for two nights during our Costa Rica holiday and could happily have stayed longer. The place surpassed our expectations as we had not appreciated from the information that it is a single lodge set within amazing jungled grounds with access to a beautiful swimming pool. We thought it was probably within a complex of lodges so were very pleasantly surprised. The lodge was very comfortable with great kitchen facilities and an amazing open air bathroom which we loved. The balcony overlooking the forest was beautiful and you can see and hear lots of birds and animals. It was a very calm place with easy access beautiful beaches. We did a snorkelling trip to Cano island while there, which was amazing and we had the added bonus of seeing humpback whales on the boat trip there. We also visited Manuel Antonio national park which is nearby and saw many interesting birds and animals. We would definitely recommend this place.

We received such a warm welcome when we arrived. The husband and wife who run it are so lovely. We had a view of the waterfall from the balcony of our room. There are a couple trails on the property. The views of the hills and valley are stunning.
