We received a warm welcome from Mario. He was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay - on one occasion he arranged an evening meal reservation for us at Rancho Don Luis (they opened up just to accommodate us and the other couple staying at Amazilia). Our room was an adequate size - the wide bed was very comfortable and the shower worked well (though the water wasn't hot). We made very good use of the lovely pool area. The dining area was great and we enjoyed the breakfasts - the cook was also responsible for cleaning the rooms and the property and she did a great job. Amazilia is ideally located for Parque Nacional Rinco de la Vieja - unfortunately, during our stay, the park was closed due to the excessive rainfall Costa Rica had been having. We ate 3 times at nearby Rancho Los Gavilanes - it has a lovely setting by a river.

The hostel is ran by a family who literally take care of you as if you are their family! The best hostel I have stayed in Costa Rica by far! . The location, rooms and facilities were a great place to hangout and chill with other travellers. There was hot showers, a fully fitted kitchen for communal use and the atmosphere was peaceful for a good nights sleep. Perfect location to visit Rincon De La Viejo. I also received free laundry and the kindness overall by the family was beyond words. I will always be eternally grateful for the hospitality thank you .

Amazing place right in the middle of a rainforest with wildlife right at the door. Hot springs, big rooms, great spa and good food. My kids enjoyed the welcome tropical drinks. There is a minivan with a driver that drives you around. Very comfy beds.

Not our first time staying at Casa Buda, but the first time in Casa 1, usually we end up in Casa 2. Casa 1 did not disappoint! So comfortable, so clean. Close to the airport, but in a neighborhood, quiet and walkable (mini supermercado right around the corner), close to restaurants (we drove, but the hosts offer bicycles!). Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are comfy. Wifi and AC work great! AC is in the living room as well as both bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. Both units are behind very serious fencing and gate, totally safe, secure parking. Hosts will be airport shuttle for reasonable fee. The hosts are so wonderful, will help with anything, always responsive. Muy amable!! We will be back! Pura vida!!

    The location was very nice. The room had enough space for 2 people. Staff was nice & helpful. The breakfast was decent, but could have more options. The property is gated, so you can feel completely safe. Car parking is also inside the gates, so that is secured as well.

    Pool and gardens are an oasis in the city. Location was wonderful - a 15 minute drive straight down the road from the airport. Breakfast was fantastic. Accommodations were simple but adequate and a room that sleeps 5 comfortably was very appreciated, as was the secure parking.

    We stayed in Liberia to visit the nearby Palo Verde park. The hotel offered secure car parking. The restaurants in town were only a short riving distance away - please note that there aren't many options within short walking distance from it.

    The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful with lots of plants in pots and a few central trees in the middle of the property. It felt safe and secure. We were able to park our rental car in the gated parking lot and were able to come and go at whatever time. Breakfast was comprehensive and prompt. Great stay for our family of four!
