Great central location to all the attractions as National Park and Springs. Delicious dinner offered by the host (home made) which was the testiest that we ate in Costa Rica for good price. On a family farm this was a lovely cabin. Spacious room with a good sized comfortable bed and nice bathroom. They have a lovely decking area at the front to watch the birds. There is no noise at night. The family made us very welcome. The cabin is on the road to the national park and very close to La Leona waterfall, a very popular tourist attraction. It is ideal for visits to both, but especially the National park, Rincon de La Vieja .

Malekus Mountain Lodge is a beautiful property. The Lodge is the perfect base for hiking the local parks, and the breakfasts are varied & delicious. The hosts are kind and accommodating, and we appreciated all of their excellent recommendations regarding area activities. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon!

We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful and the hot pools are amazing. You wake up to the sounds of birds in the morning! Loved the hospitality - it is a family run business and the owner was really helpful; Juan, our server at the restaurant was great and the food was really tasty! Exceptional value for money too!

There's every animals you can imagine in the country (even rare birds and the 3 types of monkeys next to the pool) Relaxing and beautiful gardens with majestic trees. The pools are amazing. We had dinner at the new restaurant and it was behind our expectation.
