    Friendly hosts. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. During the day you can help yourself to some coffee/tea or cake, fruit. After a 15 minute walk you get to the center with a lot of choices to eat/drink. Free parking in front of the hotel and efficient communication about the checkin procedure (because we were a little bit later, via a key locker). The adjacent road was noisy in the morning but this was not much of a problem if you close the window at night and kept out the sunlight during the day to keep it cool.

    The hotel met our expectations and the restaurant downstairs was reasonably priced. There was a problem with the one way system, as the satnav in the car didn't recognise it. The free parking was close to the hotel and it was possible to load and unload luggage outside. It is a good place to stay as it is close to the old town of Bernkastel and fairly close to Frankfurt Hahn airport.

    We were lucky to get an upgrade, and an upgrade it was! The room was massive. Plenty of well decorated space with a clean and modern bathroom on the upper floor of the apartment. We had access to the private balcony overlooking the vineyards and the Burg Landshut. Minibar had access to free samples of Deinhard's wine. Location was perfect - basically within the historic old town. Good breakfast with multitude of choices. Underground parking is a bit expensive, but incredibly convenient.

    Good basic hotel on the edge of town but with ample free parking so a bonus for this area, about 20 minute walk to the main centre which would be a chore if it was raining. Breakfast was what we expected and included in our room rate. Drinks were available with an 'honesty' box and all drinks were very good prices.
