Loma Wasi was an AMAZING place. My husband and adult son enjoyed a wonderful evening and morning in the company of Mercedes and her family. She gave us a tour of her beautiful vegetable and flower garden (with the help of our guide who translated) and prepared a delicious simple dinner. We slept comfortably with the farm noises nudging us awake early the next day to enjoy the eggs and pancake breakfast. We will be talking about this one night for a long time. Remarkable.

Two nights stay in the town of Cotacachi during Inti Raymi was magnificent. The hostel, combined with a brewery, was our home from home, just seven minutes walk from the plaza. Comfortable, secure, with an outdoor common area to relax and enjoy the cats and dogs, and the beer. Our room was big with a very comfortable bed and a wonderful shower. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed many conversations with Roger and Melena, both so helpful. We should have stayed longer.

    The property is beautiful. The room was very basic. Breakfast was included, but was basic — eggs, toast, juice, coffee. The staff were very attentive and polite. Property was secure. The gate was kept closed but guests have a key to come and go, and a gate opener if they have a car. Plenty of parking for cars.

    The owner was very nice and helpful and went out of her way to make sure I was satisfied with everything. The room was decorated nicely and was much better than I expected to receive at such an economical price, especially with a full breakfast included. There were restaurants and small eateries within walking distance and on-site parking was available.
