If you want to stay in Elephantine Island, The Mango Guest house is the best you can get! It's a beautifully built and maintained place with a lovely garden to sit in and have your drinks. The location is also good as it's only a short walk from the boat dock. The WiFi worked well in the room and the room was exactly what you see in their pictures. There is self service on drinks and you can also order food which they get you from outside. They also have a laundry service. Strongly recommended!

Very nice place! The owner picked me up at the ferry stop with his private boat, which is much easier than taking my bags and walking to the place (there's no transit options but your feet on Elephantine island) Very clear room. Great shower, great wifi, great AC. Elephantine island is very lovely, quiet and peaceful. Free homemade breakfast is lovely as well. Highly recommend 👍🏻

Location was prefect right on the Nile facing the Aga Khan Mausoliam. Ahmed picked us from the railway station early in the morning and cooked us a perfect egyptian breakfast. He was a gentleman and most helpful host. He arranged all our taxis, boat rides even went and bought our return train tickets and saw as off.

We stayed in several places during our travels through Egypt and by far Habib was the best host one can have. Our train was delayed and he let us check in later. He told us the best and cheapest option to explore Abu Simbel. Breakfast, food and the staff was amazing! And at the end he sent our bags to the ferry since we were in rush... Again! Wonderful and breathtaking view of the Nile, a nice green territory with a pool, a spacious clean room, good breakfast, buffet or a la carte lunch is also available (for extra price), very friendly stuff at the reception. Not far from the Nubian Museum, Unfinished Obelisk and 15 min walk to the Corniche of Aswan, where you can experience an amazing felucca ride. The hotel kindly arranged for us 2 trips to Abu Simbel and to Luxor with three stops at Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna temples with the private driver Mario. Mario is a super nice, English speaking, professional, confident and careful driver, he had a new, clean and comfortable car. Mario made our trips perfect, unforgettable and memorable. We had an interesting chat with him about Egypt, history and sights during our trip. We would recommend Mario and Basma Hotel to our friends!
