Isobel and her husband were not only great hosts (exceptionally friendly) in the normal sense of the word, waiting for us on arrival and showing us to our room, but went above and beyond to help us with a motoring issue and directing us to somewhere in the next town who could help. The generous welcome platter of local cheeses and ham, along with a bottle of champagne. An unexpectedly generous breakfast, consisting of a selection of brioche breads, and the fridge filled with an assortment of produce. Very comfortable and good sized bed, with lights over the bed resembling a night sky. In door and private jacuzzi and steam room to use at your own leisure was a big bonus! Also the general area is absolutely beautiful and the neighbourhood is so quite.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were shown to our room and every aspect was explained. The ambiance of the hotel was warm and period splendour, especially the staircase. We were intriged by the billiard room and there was a piano to play if I had the skill. There are many original features to this property, possibly Belle Epoch. The evening meal was 4 course, no choice but of excellent quality and good value. There was an extensive wine list. Breakfast was served from 7.15 and offered a wide range of cheese, meats, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, pastries, fruit flans, fruit salad, cereals, tea or coffee. We would recommend this hotel to friends.

We had an excellent stay at this bed and breakfast. The breakfast was outstanding, with special requests accommodated. The place offers a perfect mix of hotel luxury and the personal touch of a traditional B&B. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and it is very child-friendly. Highly recommended!
