A lovely property in a great location very spacious and exceptionally clean. All bedrooms were very well provided with comfortable beds all at a high standard and immaculate throughout. The kitchen is fabulous and fitted with modern equipment and utensils ideal for a family or large group. Bonus of the outside swimming pool which was a welcome area for relaxing after a long journey. The property is very private and comfortable.

The garden is an idyllic space to relax surrounded by nature, the moment I saw it when Stanislas opened the main entrance door I was left speechless! The hospitality was exceptional, Stanislas is genuinely caring and passionate about this beautiful property and his plans for it. An old and historic building, which also has a fairly authentic interior and furnishings. So, if you're looking for luxury and modernity, this is not the place for you. But we were specifically looking for something where the exterior matched the interior, and this building was exactly that. In colder seasons, I can’t say how comfortable it would be or whether the rooms are warm or rather chilly. In May, the temperature was just right, and although there was a slight dampness in the room in the morning, it was very warm under the blanket. Breakfast was included in the accommodation price and featured a French-style breakfast—bread, jams, fruit, plain yogurt with muesli, and coffee. Maybe a bit of ham or some meat products would have been a nice addition. The views of the surrounding area were beautiful—countryside and cows in the distant fields. The estate seems large and probably requires a lot of money to maintain and restore. I believe the owners have done a good job so far.

Villa du Loir is a beautifully restored b&b in an 18th century historical building on the bank of the river Loir at the edge of the old town center of la Flèche. Our room (overlooking the river) and bathroom (overlooking the garden) were very tastefully decorated, quite spacious, and very comfortable and clean indeed. Breakfast was well-served and delicious. Our kind and helpful hosts took very good care of us. Thank you very much Pinar and Oliver, what charming couple you are! Villa du Loir, the town of La Flèche and the nearby restaurant L’Idee Gourmand where we had dinner, will surely be on our itinerary again next year.
